The Lithurgy of Belenos

Formal prayer (koṷariṷedi̭ā) is ritualized and consists of four basic parts (peturā ṷridodarnā):

1 cleansing (nigon)
2 prayer (ṷedi̭ā)
3 sacrifice (adbertā)
4 libation (lindon)

1 Nigon

Nigi toṷ dṷī lāmai̭ ak ei̭ās ardṷosagi̭etari̭o.

Cleansing

Wash your [two] hands and raise them.

2 Ṷedi̭ā

Argisame  entar  Dēṷūs,  Rīχs  andeṷoretī,  Ṷātis ak Slanī,  ad me ṷerte toṷ ope.  Lārogenos immi, birroi̭ senti in bitū mon nerton lati̭āk, eχtos toṷ treχsi̭ā eχsanamis dīṷerbii̭et pāpan mēblan. Ā Belene noi̭bisame,  tigerne  ṷerboṷdīke, kleṷe  mon ṷepūs etik erna moi̭ toṷ raton.

Prayer

O most bright among the Gods, greatly helping King, Prophet and Healer, turn your eyes to me. I’m a child of  earth,  short  are my power and days in the world, but your might without fault overcomes every evil. Holyest Belenos, very victorious lord, listen to my words and grant me your blessing.

3 Adbertā

Ā Belene Agesilobere, sin aretoi̭berū are toṷ aneχtlon. Kardatosagi̭ūmī toi̭ raton laṷeniās ollās ṷer  mon mapūs, kilii̭an, karantas etik mon toṷtan. Ak sṷemoi̭, eđđi marṷon dī me konsamalī mon biṷotūtan.

Sacrifice

O Belenos Bringer of Wealth, I offer you this because of your protection. I implore you to bestow all happiness on my children, wife, friends and my people. And to myself, that I die as I have lived.

4 Lindon

Belene Areopsī,
Belene Argantogai̭se,
Belene Branī,
Belene Dēṷokai̭le,
Belene Drukoṷerte.

Belene Atīr, toi̭ molātus bii̭etū (lindon seme dubrī).

Belene I̭akkitobere,
Belene I̭eđđine,
Belene Tonketouede,
Belene Toṷiđđāke,
Belene Ṷorete.

Belene Atīr, toi̭ molātus bii̭etū (lindon seme melēs).

Libation

Foreseeing Belenos,
Belenos of the silver spear,
Belenos of the ravens,
Belenos of the divine omens,
Belenos averter of evil.

Father Belenos, may you be praised (pour out a libation of water).

Belenos bringer of health,
Bright Belenos,
Belenos guide of fate,
Belenos leader,
Belenos helper.

Father Belenos, may you be praised (pour out a libation of honey).
